When the partnership is about to end…

A classic: A couple – whether married or not – has been living together for several years. The infatuation with the other has long since evaporated. The focus of life is rather the „boring“ everyday life and the sex life is no longer what it used to be. There are more and more quarrels and one of the two accuses the other of cheating. As a result, the two are moving further and further away from each other. At least one of the two has moved so far away from the other that he thinks about a breakup, whether loudly or quietly.

If both WANT it, ALLOW it, and are OPEN to a process that shows them ways to get back together, resolve conflicts together, and understand each other better – then we can help most of our couples. Helping them to rediscover their love and maybe have a much stronger relationship than they have had so far.

When puberty ticks off…

Another classic: A couple has a child who is entering puberty. Both are appalled at the reactions that the hormonal changes of the adolescent or adolescents trigger in them. There is now noise almost every day and the dispute between adults about the right way of upbringing is steadily increasing.

Even in these cases, our therapists and counsellors can usually help. They know how to deal with the young people and how to respond to them. But they are also aware of the situation of the two adults in the family.

When the rose-tinted glasses turn gray and cloudy…

Not yet a classic, but it happens more and more often: When most couples – who have been together for years – look back, they will admit to themselves that in addition to the „butterflies in the stomach“ because of being in love, there were also some arguments. Why? Because two people with different characters, different habits, different life experiences, etc. etc. have found each other and first have to learn together to cope with all the differences of the other. In these early days, quite a few break up with each other again because they think „unfortunately it doesn’t fit“. Others – and this happens more and more often in our practice – do not give up so easily. We don’t want to lose the other person and – with the support of our therapists and counsellors – we want to try to understand the other person better, to understand why the other person reacts differently than expected in a certain situation or simply to learn how to deal with conflicts together without it „immediately“ coming to a separation.

We won’t give up anytime soon!

The Institute of Peace of Mind has a large number of very experienced therapists and counsellors who are happy to show you the way to a loving relationship or the way to a family life that is as conflict-free as possible.

These paths may not always be easy, but for most who rediscover their love, the effort was worth it in retrospect.
